Author : | Published: Friday, October 24, 2014

A man is suspected of killing his four children and his wife with an axe at Nyouec awan payam in Aweil South County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal.

The paramount chief of Ajak section, Ayom Akol Wek Ateng, says the unnamed man had been diagnosed with typhoid.

“He chopped them using an axe,” Chief Ateng explained. “The four children and their mother passed away on the spot.”

“People say he had been diagnosed with typhoid. He was not talking or doing anything.

“Nobody can plan to kill their own family so I think his illness made him do it.”

The man has been arrested and is in jail at the county headquarters, according to the area security.
