Catholic Church vehicle robbed in Juba

A vehicle belonging to the Catholic Church was robbed by gunmen in Munuki last night.

The vehicle belonged to Saint Vince de Paul Society Vocational Center.

The Director of the center, Stansilius Mogga says he was robbed at gun point at his home.

“Yesterday at 7:30 P.M. I was coming from Saint Joseph and then I was going home to Munuki Block-C. When I was entering to the main door of my house, my son came to open the door and then two motor cycles immediately came to me.” He narrated.

“And they were about four coming with guns; all of them were carrying guns. So they asked me to get out from the car and they put the gun on my head. So one of them took the car and then ran away.” Mogga added.

The Police Commissioner in Central Equatoria State, Henry Danima says the police are investigating the incident.

He says no arrests have been mad e so far.

“We have our CID department of thefts. This is has become a crime from the beginning of this year; so frequently that the vehicles are being stolen at gun point.” He said.

Earlier this week, another church vehicle was robbed on the Juba-Yei road.
