Gov’t officials ‘deceive’ businessmen

The chamber of commerce says some government officials have been issuing fake checks to businessmen since July 2015.

The chairman of the chamber, Benjamin Bol Mel, says he has received complaints from many businessmen who have not been able to cash the checks from the banks.

Mr Bol told a news conference in Juba this afternoon that traders feel they are being deceived.
