Author : | Published: Friday, October 9, 2015

Residents say the gunman who shot four people dead in Gudele suburb in Juba on Thursday evening has taken his own life.

Eyewitness said the man went on top of a building and started shooting indiscriminately.

However, authorities said the unnamed man who was a body-guard to one of the SPLA generals briefly held his victims hostage, and randomly shot at the housemate and her baby, and two foreign nationals working for the general.

He later shot himself after he was cornered by security.

The incident happened along the Gudele highway, near the pity oil petrol station.

Central Equatoria State Police Commission, Said Shawol, declined to comment on the matter.

He told Eye Radio that he does not comment on phone.
