Two health campaigns launched in Lakes IDP camp

A campaign against malaria, pneumonia and diarrhea has been launched in an IDP camp in Lakes State.

The campaign, organized by Health link, is targeting more than 76,000 people in Mingkaman in Awerial County.

: “According to them, out of 200 patients they receive daily in their hospital here in mingkaman, 40% of are children and in most cases is malaria. They have trained 7 drug distributors. They will be working here in Mingkaman. They will be distributing anti-malaria to the IDPs. The population is 71,000 people, mostly from Jonglei state. The aim according to the director of the health link is to make sure that at least 40% of the cases of illness reduce. It is a six month” Or reporter Ray Okech said.
