The family of Joseph Afandy, a journalist who was working for the al-Thabeer newspaper says he has gone missing, again.

This comes few weeks after he was released from detention.

His father, Joseph Deng says the family last saw Mr Afandy on Friday.

“I don’t know what happened to him,” Mr Deng said.

The al-Thabeer Newspaper was closed down by security forces in December.

In December 2015, Afandy Joseph was detained after he wrote an article criticizing the ruling party SPLM in Al-Thabir newspaper which was closed down by the security.
