Author : | Published: Friday, July 31, 2015

The SPLM has formed three committees to study the compromise agreement proposed by the mediators under the new initiative known as IGAD-Plus.

They started their work on Wednesday and will present their findings and recommendation on Friday.

On Tuesday, US President Barrack Obama said President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar must sign a peace deal next month.

He said the international community must raise the cost of the actions of the two leaders if they fail to reach a peace deal.

The spokesman of the government delegation to the peace talks, Michael Makuei, says the SPLM meeting in Juba discussed the proposed peace agreement.
