Yei River County government is conducting a mobile training on the importance of Labor laws.

The training, which is being offered by the Department of Labor and Establishment and Handicap International, targets people who are working in both the government and private sector.

He says the aim of the training is to help workers address issues related to their work and also enable them know their rights within the law.

“To bring people closer to the laws as we are aware, people should know exactly that they have rights as they work with other people,” said Paul Ohisa, County Labor officer.

“Then the other thing is also we are informing people in order for them to be concerned of their environment at work.

‘There are some employers who can employ people but they don’t consider the safety of employees. They don’t consider the benefits of employees after work. So when they are aware, they will treat their employees in a very right way.”

The participants are from the five payams of the county.
