Jamus SC opens Premier League campaign with victory
Jamus SC have started their 2026-2027 South Sudan Premier League campaign with a 2–0 victory over newly integrated Super Star SC of Bor.
The Buffaloes produced a disciplined performance to secure all three points in their opening fixture.
Jamus took control of the match in the first half and were rewarded in the 34th minute when Joseph Irungu found the back of the net to give Jamus a 1–0 lead.
Two minutes later, Bandiougou Diallo doubled Jamus’ advantage, scoring in the 36th minute to put the defending champions 2–0 ahead before half-time.
Super Star SC tried to respond after the break as they looked for a way back into the match.
However, the Bor-based side struggled to create clear chances against a well-organised Jamus defence.
Jamus remained composed and managed the game effectively, denying Super Star an opportunity to reduce the deficit.
Despite their efforts, Super Star SC could not find a breakthrough, as Jamus held on to their two-goal lead until the final whistle.
The result gives Jamus SC three points and an early boost as they begin their title defence in the South Sudan Premier League.
