Taban Deng returns to Juba
The chief negotiator for the SPLM in Opposition, Taban Deng Gai, has returned to Juba two years after the violence erupted in December 2013.
The former governor of Unity state is the head of the SPLM-IO advance team which arrived in the capital last evening.
Mr Deng is accompanied by the opposition’s secretary-general, Dhieu Mathok, and other senior members of the opposition.
The advance team of SPLM-IO arrived on two different flights yesterday.
Only 15 members were on the first flight. While the second plane carried several representatives.
