Economic Reforms Committee to inspect revenue collection at Juba International Airport
The Committee on Economic Reforms will on Thursday inspect tax and revenue-collecting agencies at Juba International Airport to assess their performance.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance and Planning, the visit will also assess working conditions at the airport and review methods used to collect and manage revenue.
The Committee will engage the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Transport during the visit.
The Committee’s Rapporteur, James Mawich, who is also the National Minister of Water and Irrigation, confirmed the planned inspection.
“We have also set a planned visit to Juba International Airport. That will probably happen Thursday. This week, we are going to inform the leadership of the South Sudan Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Transport about this visit,” he said.
