The leader of the minority in the national parliament, Onyoti Adigo has urged the public to give the new cabinet a chance to prove if they can deliver or not.

Mr. Adigo told Eye Radio program that the new cabinet will be judged on the basis of service delivery as promised by the President.

“We need to be patient and give these people six months to try, after six months if they are not performing, well then here the president can have a decision on them,” he said. “There are some national issues which he thinks this present government has to try to advise that there is a need for a national consensus dialogue of all political parties, civil societies, minority and also local communities so that we come and agree on certain principle.”

Honorable Onyoti also called on President Salva Kiir to urgently appoint a new Vice President to help him consult on national issues.

“The President has the right to appoint but he should start with the Vice President, because appointing the Vice President is where we have transparency,” he said.  “He has to consult with the people who are supposed to come to the cabinet with his Vice President, because they supposed to be a working team. They should respect one another and they should make transparency on who is coming in to the cabinet -by consultations.”

The national parliament is to vet and endorse the new cabinet appointed by President Salva Kiir on Wednesday.
