• • 1 min read

The South Sudanese embassy in Egypt has reduced its working hours in response to a threat of attack from the Islamic State militants.

All foreign missions in Cairo are on a high alert.

Ambassador Mawien Makol is the South Sudan foreign Ministry spokesman.

“So our embassy was informed that it’s good for the embassy of South Sudan like other embassies to stick on the security measures to protect themselves to be within their missions.” He said.

Mr. Makol said the Egyptians have also taken other security measures to protect the embassy from any attacks.
