Catholic University of South Sudan graduates 811 students

The Catholic University of South Sudan held its 11th graduation ceremony today, April 24, 2026, at the Juba Campus in Juba Na Bari. The event marked the graduation of 811 students from the institution’s 13th and 14th batches.

Auxiliary Bishop Santo Loku presided over the ceremony on behalf of His Eminence Cardinal Stephen Ameyu, the Chancellor of the University and President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of South Sudan and Sudan.

The university opened its door in 2008, and in 2012 the first batch of 22 pioneers was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Since then, the Catholic University of South Sudan has graduated 3,426 students from a variety of Faculties.

At present, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration offers Bachelor Degrees in Economics, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Procurement and Logistics, and Accounting and Finance. It also offers Diplomas in Business Administration and in Accounting and Finance.

The Faculty of Education provides specialisations in English and Literature, Mathematics, Business and C.R.E, while the Faculty of Agriculture offers a Degree in Agricultural Sciences, and the Institute of Justice and Peace, instituted in 2017, offers a Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies.

The Faculty of Environmental Sciences was activated in 2021 and its first batch will graduate next year, while the Faculty of Law has started this year and has already registered its first batch in the weekend programme.

Besides the Campus in Juba, the Catholic University of South Sudan has campuses in Wau, Rumbek, Yambio, and Malakal.
