EES lawmakers urged to preach peace to constituents
The governor of Eastern Equatoria calls on the state members of parliament to go to their constituencies and enlighten the citizens on peace.
Governor Louis Lobong made the remarks as the state assembly went on a three-month recess in the sixth session of their ordinary sitting.
He appealed to august house members to join hands with the county authority in ensuring peace and tranquility remains a priority in the state.
“I ask you to continue educating our masses on the benefits of peace that can make this state and the entire country prosperous,” said Governor Lobong.
“This will be your task as you break for this recess, our people are waiting to hear from you on what you have done during this sixth session.”
Governor Lobong urged the state intellectual to be watchful of the borders of the state to ensure security in the state.
