Gov’t delegation to return to talks in a fortnight

• • 1 min read

The spokesperson of the government delegation to the peace talks says the delegation will return to Addis Ababa on the 24th of this month.

But the committee who will work on the ceasefire agreement will leave for Ethiopia tomorrow.

The Government delegation had returned to Juba yesterday for a fifteen day recess.

“All the outstanding issues are there for determination and these are some of the issues for which we come here for consultations, so that we come up with the final position on the structures of the governance. We also want to come up with the powers and the competences of the prime minister.” Makuei said.

Mr. Makuei said the governance committee will not return to the talks on the 24th of November.

“The only committee that will not going is the governance committee, because the governance committee have already done their job.” He said.

Mr. Makuei said all these committees will render their reports to the leadership committee.
