Inter-clan fighting is ongoing in Rumbek town, Lakes State, with police authorities confirming the incident to Eye Radio this morning.
Elijah Mabor, police Spokesperson, said the fighting was continuing as security personnel engaged civilians in efforts to calm the situation.
“The fighting is ongoing now in Rumbek town. However, it is not the right time to talk. Let us first restore the situation, and we will provide the needed information later,” Mabor told Eye Radio.
Mabor did not disclose the clans involved, the cause of the fighting, when it started, or whether there were any casualties.
