Officials have confirmed that South Sudan teams participating in the CAF tournaments this year will play their matches in Juba Stadium instead of Sudan.

The Minister of Youth and Sports in Central Equatoria State, David Lokonga says that the state government is ready to provide the necessary financial support for the maintenance of the stadium before the CAF matches in order to avoid incurring club hardship of traveling and playing away from home.

The Head of South Sudan Football Association, Chabur Goc, has assured that the CAF is ready to accept the matches to take place at Juba Stadium after maintenance work on the pitch on the lower estimate.

Meanwhile CAF is ready to send an inspector again to preview Juba Stadium. Two tournaments will be held in February.

In the African Championship League, Malakia will play against Nigerian Kano Belarus in the country. And in the Confederation cup AL gazhala wau will face Egyptian team Petrojet and their match will take place in Egypt.
