Central Equatoria State Legislative Assembly has selected seven Members of Parliament to carry out the vetting process of the newly appointed State Cabinet Ministers.

The members were nominated during an extra-ordinary sitting this morning.

The committee will find out qualifications, working experiences, age and integrity of the new ministers before they are sworn into office.

The Acting Speaker of the assembly, Alfred Keri Yokwe says the vetting process will end on Thursday this week.

“The committee is going to find out whether X is fit for Y position and if not fit for that position they will recommend which position is better for him or her. …The new people who have been brought in are the concern. But the old members already you know them. And I believe that these two days will be enough.” He said.

The newly appointed State cabinet Ministers will take the oath of office on Friday if their appointments are approved by the Central Equatoria State Legislative Assembly.
