The chairman of the board of directors for the aviation company, South Supreme Airlines, says the firm is closing down its operations due to lack of access to the US dollars.

Ayii Duang says his company needs the hard currency to carter for its cross border operations.

He told Eye Radio that he needs to exchange pounds worth almost 20 million US dollars for renewing the insurance, repairs and for paying its foreign workers.

Mr Ayii says he has not been able to secure exchange of the funds from the Central Bank.
