Torit gets locally produced bottled water

Author : | Published: Wednesday, April 15, 2015

For the first time since independence in 2011, bottled water will now be produced in Eastern Equatoria State.

Nono-Sons Company has launched the production of bottled water in Torit. The launch is expected to end the importation of water from Juba and the neighboring counties.

The company says the main aim is to reduce the increasing prices in the market.

A bottle of 1.5 litters is selling at 4 pounds in Torit town.

“Nono-son is planning to assist in the development of Eastern Equatoria State and South Sudan in general,” said Patrick Nono, CEO and the Managing Director of the firm.

Mr. Patrick says the company is working with the state government to meet production challenges.
