Peace talks resumes in Bahir Dar
The Peace talks between the government and SPLM – In Opposition will resume this afternoon in Bahir – Dar Town, the capital of the Amhara region of Ethiopia, South Sudan Ambassador to Ethiopia has confirmed.
Ambassador Akuei Bona Malual says the government delegation and the former political detainees have arrived at the venue.
“The government delegation has gone and I think the former political detainees are going this morning,” said Mr Malual.
It is not clear why the venue was moved Addis Ababa.
Bahir Dar Town in Ethiopia, served previously as the venue for negotiations between Sudan and South Sudan during the oil shutdown in 2012.
