75 TVET scholarships available for South Sudanese in Ethiopia – Ministry

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology has announced 75 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) scholarships for South Sudanese to study in Ethiopia.

In a statement issued online, the ministry said the scholarships, offered by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia for the 2026-2027 academic year, are open to South Sudanese nationals with a secondary education certificate, technical school qualification or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants must have a valid passport with at least six months’ validity, a birth certificate or age assessment, authenticated academic certificates and proof of medical fitness.

The application process started on September 7 and will close on September 22 2026.

Application forms are available only at the Ministry of Higher Education headquarters through the Directorate of Training and External Relations.

Applicants are required to pay a 25,000 South Sudanese Pound non-refundable application fee and a 50 US dollar examination fee.

The entrance examination is scheduled for October 16 at the University of Juba Main Campus.

Successful applicants are expected to report to their respective institutes on October 27, while lectures are scheduled to begin on October 30.

The ministry has urged applicants seeking further information to contact the Directorate of Training and External Relations during working hours.
