Brig Gen Mike Mike hails Juba County security improvements

The Chief of Operations of Tiger Division has praised Juba County Commissioner for improvements to roads and street lighting, saying the projects have helped security forces respond to security concerns and conduct night patrols.

Brigadier General Robert Mike Mike, made the remarks on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to commissioner Kalisto Lado, following his appointment by the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani.

According to a statement from the Commissioner’s Office, the army officer commended several ongoing projects, including the completion of the county headquarters, installation of streetlights around the Bilpam General Headquarters and the lighting of Freedom Bridge.

He also praised efforts to reorganise Kuburi Haboba Market, improve access roads and open new roads across the county.

Brigadier General Mike Mike said improved road access and street lighting had supported security operations and helped security personnel maintain law and order.

He also expressed the security organs’ satisfaction with the commissioner’s work and pledged continued cooperation.

For his part, Commissioner Kalisto Lado thanked the army officer for the visit and called for patriotic leadership, collective responsibility and unity in promoting peace and stability.

He said cooperation among citizens was important in building a better future for the country and improving South Sudan’s image internationally.
