Donald Booth meets civil society groups in Addis Ababa

The US Special Envoy to South Sudan and Sudan says he is now in Addis Ababa meeting IGAD and civil society organizations to discuss peace process.

Early this week, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development said it has postponed its upcoming Summit until 30 January.

IGAD’s 29th Extra-ordinary Summit, in which the South Sudan crisis is expected to feature prominently, was originally scheduled for Sunday this week.

The Chair of IGAD Council of Ministers, Tedros Adhanom had last week disclosed that the two Principals of the South Sudan conflict are invited to the upcoming IGAD Summit and are expected to present the outcome of the consultations
