Governor Adil launches construction of Kajo-Keji County headquarters

The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has launched the construction of new offices for Kajo-Keji County to house the local government administration.

Governor Adil also pledged $10,000 towards the construction of the new county headquarters, according to a statement from his office.

The governor arrived in Kajo-Keji County on Friday as part of his tour of counties across the state. The visit is aimed at engaging citizens and local leaders ahead of the December 2026 elections.

According to the Office of the Governor, the project is part of efforts to strengthen local government institutions and bring services closer to the people.

The Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County, Wani Jackson Mule, and other local authorities welcomed the governor’s support for local development initiatives.

He also called on communities to work together to fast-track the construction project.

The launch was attended by religious leaders, including the Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of Kajo-Keji, Rt. Rev. Dr. Lule James Kenyi, and the Baptist Convention of South Sudan Bishop, Kaya David Daniel.
