Jadalla assumes office as Central Equatoria Caretaker Governor

The newly appointed caretaker governor of Central Equatoria State, Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, has assumed office this morning following his swearing-in last week.

Governor Jadalla was appointed last week to replace former governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony following the dissolution of the national and state governments.

According to a statement from his office, Governor Jadalla was received by the state Secretary-General, Francis Luwalla, and other senior government officials.

Governor Jadalla previously served as governor of Central Equatoria State for one year, from May 2024 to June 2025.

Following his appointment, Governor Jadalla called for unity and collective action ahead of the upcoming elections in December 2026.
