The MTN – Eye Radio Music Awards has been officially launched in Juba.

Eighteen different categories, including the Best Comedian of the year have been selected for this year’s awards.

The two partners will be organizing a concert each weekend in major clubs in Juba to give opportunity for the nominees to market their voting codes and campaign for votes from the public. It will go on until April.

There will be one final grand concert of all the nominees at Juba Stadium or Nyakuron for the public to attend and make the final vote.

“This partnership is our desire to collaborate with companies not only MTN but if other companies can join us so that we share our vision and underscore our unyielding commitment to encourage all kinds of talents in South Sudan,” said Koang Pal Chang, Eye Radio’s Station Manager.

For his part, MTN Head of Corporate Service, Khumbulani Dhlomo, said ‘we like to associate with young people’.

“We feel that this partnership will help us in reaching out to young people and in making sure that young people associate with our brand,” Mr Dhlomo added.
