The Inspector-General of Police has issued an order directing all the Police Commissioners in the states not to produce their own number plates.

The order states that the National Traffic Headquarter will be the only source for all types of number plates for vehicles and motor cycles.

“Any police state commissioner continuing with the production of plates numbers will be questioned administratively,” said Major General Yoasa Lujang Kamba.

He said the new number plates will be launched in the next few days.
