PPC names registration officials for 10 states, 3 administrative areas

In Order No. 03/2026 issued on Friday, June 19, PPC Chairperson Hon. Eng. James Akol Zakayo Dhiak said the appointments were made under Section 18(2) of the Political Parties Act, 2012, as amended in 2022.

The order assigns officials to oversee registration activities across the country, with registration coordinators serving as heads of duty stations and inspectors acting as their deputies.

“The individuals listed in the schedule attached hereto are hereby appointed to their respective duty stations,” the order states.

It further notes that the appointments apply to all ten states and three administrative areas and take effect immediately.

The latest development comes days after the Political Parties Council directed political parties intending to contest future elections to register in accordance with the law.

Registration Coordinators

The following officials have been appointed as Registration Coordinators:

• Abyei Administrative Area – Mr. Nyok Deng Rou
• Central Equatoria State – Eng. Diyo Mayom
• Eastern Equatoria State – Mr. Emanuel Avelino Oyee
• Greater Pibor Administrative Area – Ustaz Kabashi Nagrish
• Jonglei State – Mr. Kur Bol Leek
• Lakes State – Mr. Lincon Kochdak Bol
• Northern Bahr el Ghazal State – Mr. Butrus Majok Majok Mayuol
• Ruweng Administrative Area – Dr. Abuk Deng Ayii
• Warrap State – Dr. Omer Garang Yak Tong

According to the order, registration coordinators will head the duty stations in their respective jurisdictions, while inspectors will serve as deputy heads responsible for supporting registration and inspection functions.

The appointments are expected to strengthen the Political Parties Council’s presence across the country as South Sudan moves toward key electoral milestones, including the anticipated announcement by the National Elections Commission on the conduct of elections.
