NBGs governor reshuffles state cabinet
Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Governor Lt. Gen. Charles Madut Akol has issued a gubernatorial decree purporting to relieve five state ministers, members of independent commissions and three county commissioners, before appointing their replacements in a separate decree.
In the first decree, the governor announced the relief of Peter Dut Akol as Minister of Finance, Planning and Investment; Ayak Zachariah Ngor as Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development; Hekkama Ali Malek as Minister of Labour and Public Service; Akoon Diing Akok as Minister of General Education and Instruction; and Teresa Aker Malual as Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare.
The decree also purported to relieve Yel Deng Nguel, Chairperson of the Employees Justice Commission; Zachariah Mayuol Deng, Deputy Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission; Arabia Gierchin Alem, a member of the Human Rights Commission; Joseph Achor Baak and Mathew Thonying Ayaga, members of the HIV/AIDS Commission; and Gabriel Bol Dut, a member of the Conflict Resolution Commission.
Also affected were Garang Thiang Deng, Commissioner of Aweil East County; Deng Kuel Kuel, Commissioner of Aweil North County; and Alakiir Dut Deng, Commissioner of Aweil Central County.
In a separate decree, Governor Madut appointed Santino Bol Akol as Minister of Finance, Planning and Investment; Simon Deng Jier as Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development; Abuar Garang Nhial as Minister of Labour and Public Service; Deng Deng Bol as Minister of General Education and Instruction; and Kiir Chan Wol as Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare.
The governor also appointed Dominic Ajak Piigen as Chairperson of the Employees Justice Commission, Gabriel Bol Dut as Deputy Chairperson of the Relief and Rehabilitation Board (RRB), Akingdit Arok Maluok and Abraham Ake Dak as members of the HIV/AIDS Commission, Achol Chol Ayuel as a member of the Human Rights Commission, and Albino Deng Tong as a member of the Conflict Resolution Commission.
